MY FIRST TIME IN HAWAII // Staying at the Aloha Surf Hostel

This past week I was in Paia, Maui where I stayed at the Aloha Surf Hostel. This was my first time staying in a hostel and I had mixed feelings before going so I decided to make a video about my stay. Not only was the hostel an amazing place, it was also very affordable and offered free tours around the island.

  1. Great video! I'm going there in Feb, just wondering if the tours booked up really quickly or did you have a chance to do as many as you wanted?

  2. Nicely made video. In 1998 we stayed a week at a hostel in Paia town. Lots of long time surfers, mostly wind surfers staying there. Lots of young people. They left crack of dawn &
returned after sunset. They were never noisy & all went to bd really early so they could get up early for windsurfing. Kids from all over the world. Apparently everyone left for home on
the same day & they had a party (invited us to join them). It was lovely. We were organizing our 1st Haleakala backpack trip. This hostel was way fancier than our digs. But as
hard core backpackers we didn't need much. In fact the owner stored our stuff while we backpacked for a week. Lovely people.
